Governor Vetoes Legislation Opposing EPA Carbon Plan, Citing Executive Order

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) vetoed a bill that would have required the state to develop an implementation plan to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed Clean Power Plan, saying an executive order already codified the state's opposition to the carbon limits for power plants. In a May 1 veto message, Fallin emphasized the executive order issued April 28 already prohibits Oklahoma from submitting a state plan.
