摘要

Two New Jersey companies and their owner have pleaded guilty to taking part in a biodiesel fuel fraud scheme that netted more than $55 million in illegal profits, the Department of Justice said April 15 (United States v. Ducey, S.D. Ind., No. l:13-cr-00189, plea agreement 4/15/15). Joseph Furando of Montvale, N.J., and the two companies he operated, Caravan Trading Co. LLC and CIMA Green LLC, pleaded guilty to helping an Indiana-based company sell more than 35 million gallons of blended biofuel and claim it was eligible for tax credits although they knew it was not.
