Re-Use Association Wants EPA to Push For More Recycling of Treated Wastewater

The Environmental Protection Agency should include recycling of treated wastewater among its water infrastructure financing plans, the WateRe-use Association said March 20. In a white paper, the organization made recommendations to the Water Infrastructure and Resiliency Finance Center, a new effort announced by the EPA Jan. 16 (46 ER 224, 1/23/15). Some details about the center's operation remain to be ironed out, and the report encouraged the EPA to help facilitate water reuse projects by using the center to, in part, find innovative financing for those projects.
