Off-Road Vehicle Users, Counties Sue Forest Service Over Plumas Plan

A coalition of off-road vehicle users and individuals has teamed up with two California counties to challenge a U.S. Forest Service plan limiting access to previously available roads and trails in Plumas National Forest in the Sierra Nevada (Granat v. USDA, E.D. Cal., No. 2:15-00605, 3/18/15). Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California March 18, the complaint alleges the Forest Service's implementation of the 2005 Travel Management Rule violated the National Environmental Policy Act and the Administrative Procedure Act.
