White House Organizes Agencies In Bid to Clean Up Puget Sound

White House, state and tribal leaders are pressing to coordinate agencies to restore the Puget Sound ecosystem in and around Seattle. White House Council on Environmental Quality Managing Director Christy Goldfuss joined state and tribal leaders in Seattle Oct. 18 to announce the creation of a federal task force to restore the Puget Sound ecosystem and to underline the Obama administration's resolve in its waning days to press for new federal dollars to fund the effort.
