Highway Agency Seeks to Designate Corridors for Alternative Fuel Vehicles

The Federal Highway Administration is soliciting input on designation of alternative fuel corridors on major national highways, launching the effort with two national webinars held May 12 and May 16. The highway administration must designate by December national transportation corridors that provide vehicle charging and fueling infrastructure to improve the mobility of passenger and freight vehicles that use electric, hydrogen fuel cell, propane and natural gas fuel technologies. The requirement was included in Section 1413 of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (Pub. L. No. 114-94).
