Prison Term for New Jersey Ex-Official Who Faked Public Water Purity Tests

A former public water operator in New Jersey was sentenced Feb. 8 to three years in state prison for falsifying water quality tests in two municipalities, New Jersey's acting attorney general announced. Edward O'Rourke, of Brick, N.J., pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to charges of second-degree corruption of public resources and third-degree violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
