摘要

A Michigan wood and waste processing manufacturer agreed to pay $3 million to settle Environmental Protection Agency claims it sold diesel-fuel machinery that violated Clean Air Act emissions standards (United States v. Bandit Indus. Inc., W.D. Mich., No. 17-cv-00056, settlement 1/18/17). The EPA claimed in its Jan. 18 lawsuit that Remus, Mich.-based Bandit Industries Inc., a manufacturer of wood chippers and stump grinders, sold diesel-fuel engines that were not covered by Clean Air Act certificates of conformity, which allow the engines to be entered into commerce, or that were exempt from the certification regime.
