L.A. Recycler Hit With Lawsuit Over Allegedly Unlawful Pollution

American Reclamation Inc.'s South Coast Recycling facility is allegedly discharging pollutants in violation of the Clean Water Act, according to a lawsuit filed by a Los Angeles County waters protection group in federal court in California.Los Angeles Waterkeeper, a public benefit corporation founded in 1993 to protect the inland and coastal waters in LA., says American Reclamation and John R. Gasparian, the owners and operators of the LA. clean material recovery facility, are responsible for pollutants washed into the river by rain and storms.
