A federal judge isn’t giving the EPA a deadline to address environmentalists’ request for an emergency rulerequiring public notice of any coronavirus-related reduced monitoring or reporting of pollution.Disclosure Sought: The EPA announced in March that companies wouldn’t face penalties if Covid-19precautions caused them to fall short of those reporting and monitoring requirements. Environmentalistscriticized the move as a free pass for polluters, and said the EPA should at least disclose who takesadvantage of the policy so communities know if companies in their area are halting pollution monitoring.
