California Ban on Forever Chemicals, Toxics in Cosmetics Moves

Cosmetics containing "forever chemicals" and other toxics would be banned in California, under a bill heading to Gov. Gavin Newsom's desk. The California Assembly on Sunday approved AB 2762, which would make it illegal beginning in 2025 to manufacture, sell, and deliver blush, bronzers, and other cosmetics if certain intentionally added ingredients could harm public health. The Senate approve the bill Aug. 28.
