The EPA and Department of Health and Human Services should closely examine claims in a recent Harvard studylinking air pollution to coronavirus deaths, a Republican lawmaker wrote Friday.Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) said in a letter that Democratic lawmakers are citing the study, which hasn’t been peerreviewed,to target “ongoing EPA regulatory reforms” to air pollution rules. He said he fears that Congress willreallocate funding to help states such as Ohio and California that the study said would experience more severevirus-related deaths due to high levels of air pollution.
