China to See First Offshore Wind Farm Auction Under New Policy

Shanghai will organize an auction for a 200-megawatt offshore wind power project, the first of its kind under China's new approach to spur clean energy development at a lower cost and in a more controlled manner.Investors will have to submit bid proposals for the plant to be located in Fengxian district, the Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission said Tuesday.
