My mum's favourite store, Marks & Spencer, is the latest retailer to commit to the environment. Last month, chief executive Stuart Rose explained how the firm aims to be carbon neutral within five years. How will they do it? Well, they intend to reduce their carbon footprint, send no waste to landfill, and extend their sustainable sourcing, among other things. But, interestingly, M&S will "only use offsetting as a last resort".
