Alliance Boots' head of corporate social responsibility, Richard Ellis, has spent the past 25 years working on CR programmes for large companies as diverse as BAE Systems and Lloyds TSB as well as small businesses and charities. He joined Boots two years ago to help modernize its approach to CSR and make it relevant to the company's many and various stakeholders. Boots, like many other companies today, is facing growing mandatory reporting requirements, rising stakeholder scrutiny and increasing interest in socially responsible or ethical investment.
