Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is embarking on a pioneering energy efficiency project that will see it cut average energy consumption by more than 40% and carbon emissions by 43%, setting the standard for sustainability in the NHS. The energy efficiency project being undertaken by the Taunton and Somerset Foundation Trust is the first of its kind in the UK healthcare sector and will deliver substantial savings at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. Over the next 20 years, the organisation will save more than £17M, freeing up valuable resources for maintenance projects.
