The very best scriptwriter couldn't have penned such a well-rounded story arc to my sunny visit to the Olympic Park last month. As we toured the Stratford site to learn about the lengths to which the delivery team have stretched to bring the world's greenest games to life next summer, little did we know that the organisers of this year's BCE Awards were gearing up to reward this very team at that evening's awards ceremony. As you will read on pages 24-27, it was a deserved victory for the Olympic Delivery Authority which was given a blank piece of paper when London won the right to stage the Games in 2012, to develop a plan to ensure that building footprints, waste, on-site injuries and costs were all kept to a minimum.
