Erez Hatna holds a PhD in geography from the Department of Geography and Human Environment of Tel Aviv University. His thesis focused on modeling urban residential dynamics as an outcome of individual choice behavior. During his PhD studies Erez worked as a researcher in the Environmental Simulation Laboratory of Tel Aviv University and presently he is a fellow researcher at the Land Dynamics department of Wageningen University.Erez's main field of research is spatially explicit modeling of urban residential and land-use dynamics, with a particular focus on human decision making as a driving force of urban and regional development.
