Medical geography

It is perhaps unfair to make a direct comparison between the third edition of Medical Geography, authored by Melinda Meade and Michael Emch, and A Companion to Health and Medical Geography, edited by Tim Brown, Sara McLafferty, and Graham Moon (2010). Nonetheless, the recent opportunity to review the Brown et al edited Companion has left it fresh in my mind, where the reasoned and comprehensive treatment of health and medical geography serves only to highlight the relative flaws and limitations of Meade and Emch's textbook.
