This issue of Environment and Planning A marks a series of important editorial transitions at the journal. First of all, our editorial manager for the past three years, Lisa Dam, will move to take up a new position at UBC this month, after which time her responsibilities will be taken over by the peer review management team at SAGE, overseen by Katrina Newitt. On behalf of the editors and all involved with the journal, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Lisa, a much valued colleague, for all she has done to make Environment and Planning A run so smoothly and effectively. Secondly, there are some transitions amongst the editors, too, as Eric Sheppard and Ananya Roy both stepped down at the end of 2015. Along with my co-editors, I would like to thank Eric and Ananya for all their many, varied, and much valued contributions to the journal, while warmly welcoming two new members of the editorial team: Brett Christophers of Uppsala University and Kathe Newman of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
