摘要

Convenience store owners are seeking legislation granting liability relief for selling ethanol blends up to 15 percent (E15) that would also direct EPA to issue pump labeling rules to prevent misfueling, which could ease industry's fears about EPA approval of higher blends and ensure the renewable fuels standard can be met.rnThe National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) is floating the legislative proposals for the "Renewable Fuels Modernization Act" that would aim to remove retailers' barriers to selling mid-grade ethanol. The group sent materials to members of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, the Senate Environment & Pubic Works Committee and other farm and corn state lawmakers, but has yet to win a bill sponsor.
