摘要

EPA's Inspector General (IG) is urging the agency to craft an action plan to review whether its decision to prioritize starring resources on stimulus law activities caused delays for other contracts and grants work, with the IG saying the plan could be a "proactive" way to resolve workforce issues before they become a major problem.rnThe IG in an Oct. 25 report said EPA needs to ensure it has sufficient staff to perform contract and grants work for both stimulus law and non-stimulus law activities. In the wake of the law's enactment, the agency "emphasized" stimulus activities, resulting in non-stimulus activities being delayed or not completed, according to the report titled "EPA's Contracts and Grants Workforce May Face Future Workload Issues."
