摘要

EPA is weighing a proposed rule to expand the list of chemicals that companies must report under its Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) to include a key National Toxicology Program (NTP) list of substances thought to be carcinogens, which activists hope is a sign of future expansions of TRI to cover more unreported chemicals of concern.rnIndustry, however, says that while the move would be "defensible" because of the NTP's strict peer review policies, it would impose new reporting requirements that could require additional resources to meet.
