EPA Policy Advisers Punt On Endorsing GHG Permit Streamlining Options

An EPA policy advisory panel is punting on endorsing steps the agency should adopt to streamline greenhouse gas (GHG) permitting in an interim report on accelerating GHG permits, instead listing many options for streamlining permits without advocating any and suggesting EPA issue a rule to take comment on the options. EPA has taken steps to streamline GHG permits - including allowing plantwide emissions limits - but will not further lower the threshold for triggering the permits until states and EPA can pursue additional streamlining options.
