EPA Seeks States' Help To Craft Priority Electronic Reporting Effort In FY14

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - EPA is seeking states' assistance in crafting an agency-wide program for electronic reporting and sharing of data to ease reporting requirements and potentially improve permitting and enforcement, though states are raising initial concerns that the program - one of the agency's top budget priorities for fiscal year 2014 -will create new burdens for them at a time of limited budgets. The effort, which EPA is calling E-Enterprise, aims to encourage greater use of electronic data collection and monitoring.
