EPA has sent a proposal designating two per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as "hazardous substances" under the Superfund law for White House review, a measure that is expected to bolster EPA's cleanup authorities, months after Democrats questioned whether the Trump administration was delaying the designation.
