摘要

The adiabatic gas-liquid flow through a pipe with a constant cross-sectional area is studied from a thermodynamics point of view. By assuming the two-phase mix- ture as homogeneous, the treatment of the balance laws makes it possible to obtain an equation for the fluid evolution. The determination of the Fanno limit, on the basis of the equation of evolution and the second principle of Thermodynamic, shows the existence of a maximum pipe length which is function of the gas mass fraction and the initial conditions.
