Cisco Delivers Adaptive Threat Defense Across Its 2005 Security Product Portfolio

Cisco Systems Inc. has added 10 new products, software enhancements and services across its security product portfolio. These new offerings deliver proactive protection from a variety of network and business-application threats. According to Jayshree Ullal, senior vice president of the Cisco Security Technology Group (STG), the extent of these new offerings underscore evolution of the Cisco Self-Defending Network security strategy through "Adaptive Threat Defense (ATD)," an architecture that increases security effectiveness via three major components: Anti-X defenses, Application security, and Network control and containment.
