Major upgrade on east coast rail freight corridor

Significant improvements will flow to the interstate rail freight network on Australia's east coast following major infrastructure and signalling contracts awarded in recent months. The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has committed more than $1.4 billion over the next three to four years for 100 major capital works projects on the network between Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and in the Hunter Valley.
