摘要

Site and project managers are the staff in greatest demand by construction companies, according to almost three quarters of respondents in KPMG's 2008 Global Construction Survey. Contract managers, tradespeople and estimators were also highly prized.rnThe report called for a concerted global effort to attract more school leavers and graduates. "On a global level, there has historically been little or no collaboration between stakeholders such as companies, universities and governments.rn"In particular, governments must shoulder some responsibility. Construction makes up as much as 8% to 10% of total gross domestic product in many countries, but education systems are often not delivering graduates with the required skills."
