摘要

The federal government last month announced the 12 members of its Infrastructure Australia advisory council. Among them are two engineers - the chair Rod Eddington and Jim Hallion. Hallion is chief executive of the Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure. He has been involved with the Adelaide-Darwin Railway and SeaGas pipeline and leads the design, approval and construction of major infrastructure projects for South Australia. Infrastructure Australia is advising the federal government on how to spend the $20 billion allocated in the federal 2008/09 budget for national infrastructure development.
