Testing fabrics

IDM Instruments has recently manufactured the Hydrostatic Head Tester, specially designed with relevance to international standards.rnThe instrument is used to determine textile fabrics' resistance to penetration by water as pressure increases at a constant rate. A test specimen is subjected to increasing water pressure to one face until penetration occurs in three different places. The hydrostatic pressure when the water penetrates the fabric at the third place is noted.
