Enthralled by the Top End

I have just completed my Northern Divisionrnvisit and was overwhelmed at the variety ofrnengineering projects that are taking placernin the Top End. It seems that there is littlernsign of the economic crisis in the territoryrnand local engineers are still flat out. I wasrnexposed to a wonderful cross-section of thernwork being undertaken and thought thatrnyou might also be interested in sharing myrnexperiences. My story starts on ANZAC Day and my wife Jayne and I attended Darwin's dawn service and parade with Northern Division president Peter Hagan, his wife Rose, Division director Bronwyn Russell and her engineer husband Peter. This was a poignant event for us, as Jayne's father served with the air force in Darwin during WW2.
