The Fireray 2000 EExd is a beam-type smoke detector from Fire Fighting Enterprises certified to ATEX 94/9/EC standard for use in Croup 2 hazardous areas.rnIt is suitable for environments where there is a risk of explosion such as oil rigs, refineries, petrochemical plants, power stations and storage depots.rnThe detector consists of an infrared transmitter and a receiver placed on opposing surfaces, and a low-level control unit. Any smoke entering the beam path between the transmitter and the receiver decreases the strength of the signal.
