American Society of Civil Engineers honours Australian

Senior principal of Coffey Geotech-nics, Dr Harry Poulos, has been awarded a Distinguished Membership of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).rnInternationally recognised as a pioneer and leader in geotechnics, Poulos has become the first Australian to receive the honour. It is the highest award ASCE may confer, second only to the title of ASCE president. Only 12-13 Fellows who have attained eminence in a branch ofrnengineering are elected to Distinguished Membership per year.
