Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air conditioning and Heating (AIRAH) has released DA29 -Evaporative air cooling systems - A guide to the design, installation, operation and maintenance of evaporative coolers. The guide is a practical reference providing information for the buyer, designer, installer, owner, operator and maintainer of any evaporative air cooling system. AIRAH chief executive Phil Wilkinson said: "This application manual provides information on the whole evaporative air cooling story: what they are, how and where they work, comfort expectations, how to design, install, operate and maintain them, and how to improve the performance of existing systems."
