The proponent to operate Queensland's first light rail sys tem on the Gold Coast has been announced as GoldLinQ, a group of companies consisting of KDR Gold Coast, Bombardier Transportation Australia, McConnell Dowell Con structors and Plenary Group. KDR Gold Coast is a Keolis majority owned . joint venture with Downer EDI. Keolis is the world's largest private-sector operator of light rail vehicles.
