Averting commoditisation of engineering

Feedback on whether engineering is actually a part of science, or is a field of knowledge and practice that requires a uniquely separate definition and body of practice knowledge has been very positive. I am attempting to respond to all comments personally as there are some very interesting observations com ing forward. And, this discussion is very timely given the recent publication of the Queensland Flood Inquiry Report.
