Managing director of Melbourne Water Shaun Cox has recently overseen a review of the utility's Research and Technology Strategy, with a focus on getting strong leverage for research investment and enabling the utility to deliver on its strategic direction. The utility is currently working to formalise a relationship with Melbourne University based on the current research relationship between the two organisations. The utility recently won the Global Water or Wastewater Project of the Year at the Global Water Intelligence Global Water Awards for the Eastern Treatment Plant Tertiary Upgrade in Melbourne.
