Exciting times at Three Springs

We still have a vivid memory of the day, early in 2011, when we received news that the project for the new Three Springs Terminal, south of Geraldton in Western Australia, was approved and we were part of the design team. Three Springs Terminal was to be a new 330/132kV terminal substation and an integral part of the Mid West Energy Project, the biggest project in Western Power history. In order to connect a local magnetite mine, the terminal was started in advance and was required to be in service in less than two years.
