Peter Owen Miller 1922-2013

Peter Miller, who penned Miller's Tales for this magazine, was an expert on risk and liability in engineering. Born in Merewether, NSW in 1922, he was educated at North Strathfield Primary School, Fort Street Boys' High School and the University of Sydney, graduating as a civil engineer in 1943. He met his lifelong partner Olive through the scouting and guide movement and they married in 1944. In 1946, Miller joined forces first with Alan Milston and then with John Ferris in a partnership which became PO Miller Milston and Ferris, and then MM&F Design and MM&F Drafting Services.
