The iconic legacy of Ove Arup

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the start of construction of Sydney's Opera House and also the opening of Arup's first office in Australia. Arup had started design work on the Opera House in London from 1959 and opened its Sydney office on 5 April 1963 as the project moved into its construction phase. Fifty years of continuous operation is an impressive record for any company in Australia, let alone a consulting engineering company working in an industry known for mergers and acquisitions.
