Magnetic angle encoder

Automated Control and ASM have introduced the PRDS1, a compact magnetic angle sensor. It provides wear-free angle measurement over a range of up to 360°, making it suitable for machinery applications like assembly lines, packaging machines and medical equipment.The sensor is 12mm in diameter and 50mm in depth. By utilising an independent target magnet that provides an air gap between it and the sensor, the complete measuring range of up to 0° to 360° is obtained in a non-contact manner.
