A $2.2 billion mining infrastructure project in central Queensland has secured state government approval. Adani Mining's North Galilee Basin Rail (NGBR) Project - a 300km rail line linking the proposed $16.5 billion Carmichael Coal Project to the port of Abbot Point. It's estimated the rail line will take about two years to build and pump over $900 million into the state economy during its construction. The proposed greenfield rail line will be able to transport 100Mt/a of coal. It will include passing loops, road and rolling stock maintenance facilities, water supply pipeline, track and signalling maintenance facilities, and staff accommodation and training facilities.
