Brookfield Multiplex has begun construction of the $277 million not-for-profit Epworth Geelong Teaching Hospital, an advanced facility for health care, teaching and research to Victoria. Epworth HealthCare and Deakin University have partnered to deliver the development, with- Epworth developing, owning and operating the comprehensive acute and rehabilitation hospital. Located north of the Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus, the hospital will be in close proximity to the university's Faculty of Health, Medicine, Nursing and Behavioural Sciences and the planned Regional Community Health Hub.
