New train line for growing west

Anew $1.8 billion expansion of the Sydney passenger rail network is expected not only to support growth in the city's rapidly expanding south west, but also to serve as the focus point for future town centres and communities. "The South West Rail Link (SWRL) is true transit-oriented development," Transport for NSW (TfNSW) project director Darren Hayward said. The 11.4 km twin track SWRL connects to the existing network at Glenfield and includes two new stations in Edmondson Park and Leppington, constructed by John Holland.
