When 11 main breaks over 24 hours occurred in the Gloucester water network, MidCoast Water realised a permanent solution to its ageing network was needed. MidCoast Water knew it had to replace one of the reservoirs following the incident. But rather than rebuild on the existing site, which wasn't at a suitable elevation, it used modelling software to develop a new solution. The Gloucester water network covers around 40,000 households across varying elevations and includes sewerage services in the Manning, Great Lakes, and Gloucester communities.
