The paper describes the bizarre signals generated when ultra-wideband off-boresight signals impinge on, or are radiated from, a large, wideband antenna. It describes and explains these signals, and shows how they yield the direction of arrival. (Similar phenomena affect the impulse response of FIR filters.).
