Countries and Companies Make Cleanup a Priority

The booming U.S. market was too good to pass up for many Top 200 Environmental Firms in 1999, and the numbers showed it. The survey's international revenue total fell off by nearly half-a-billion dollars from the previous year, as firms chose to stay close to home. Even so, over half of the Top 200 firms did go abroad for more than vacations last year, booking $5.2 billion in non-U.S. revenue.
