This year, European contractors took the first three slots on the ENR Top 225 Global Contractors List again thanks to their strong international performances. France-based Vinci once again topped the list as the world's largest, while French Bouygues claimed second place on the list from last year's No. 2, Skanska of Sweden, which suffered from a slowing U.S. market. The Japanese Big Five contractors continued to hold steady despite a prolonged domestic construction slump and a soft exchange rate for the Yen.
